Richard Lawrence Foreman, age 53 of San Angelo, Texas passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 at his residence. Richard was born in San Angelo on December 19, 1968 to parents Thomas Richard Foreman and Patsy Ann Upshaw.
 
Richard or as his family affectionately referred to him “Shorty” was a loving father, grandfather, son and friend. He was a talented welder with a passion for his job. On a few occasions, he taught a welding class at Texas Tech. Richard enjoyed cooking but especially barbecuing. He was crowned Grand Champion at one of many barbecue cook-offs. He had a big heart and loved his family. When he was eight years old he stood up to much older bullies to protect his older brother. Richard was protective and kind. He loved God. Richard will forever be missed by those who knew and loved him.
 
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Andrea Bridges and; father, Thomas Richard Foreman. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Patsy Dowling and husband Robert; son Andrew Moody and wife Brittany; daughters Kaleigh Carr and husband Stephen; Brianna Merritt and husband Lucas; Staci Clayton and husband Brandon; step-daughter Stephanie Cooper and husband Adam; brother Thomas Foreman and wife Teresa; sisters Dawn Forman and husband Scott Benson and Nelda Foreman; and thirteen grandchildren. In addition, he leaves behind numerous other loving family members and friends.

Since most deaths occur in health care institutions such as hospitals and nursing homes, the attending staff may provide you with some preliminary information. If the death occurs at home, please notify the physician or attending registered nurse (if the death was unexpected or if there are any peculiar circumstances, phone the Police immediately). If the deceased was under hospice care at home, they should have left some basic information for you to follow. No matter what circumstance, our brief checklist will help you along the way.
