Robert Wheeler Lower, Jr. 12/26/1942~04/13/2020 Robert “Bob” Wheeler Lower, Jr. was born December 26, 1942 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Bob lived life to the fullest and pursued excellence in all he did. This passion for excellence, applied to the pursuit of his many hobbies, made him a scratch golfer, bowler, pro performance sports car driver where he won many SCCA Regional championships, while also competing in IMSA endurance races.
He was also a Master Falconer for the past 27 years. He not only owned and trained many species of hawks, but also worked as the Royal Falconer for the Medieval Times Dinner Theater in both Maryland and Texas where he enjoyed speaking with guests, educating them on the art of falconry, and providing falconry demonstrations for the many crowds.
Bob worked for United Airlines for over 31 years in customer service and air freight. In addition, he earned both his private and commercial pilot’s licenses.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Margaret, and brother, Billy.
He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 56 years, Judith “Ski” Lower; his children, Rob (Julie), David (Laura), and Tracy (Michael); his six grandchildren (Cameron, Tyler, Alesha, Grace, Brody, and Colton); sisters, Judy (George) and Patricia, and niece, Samantha.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held with family and friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice in Bob’s memory. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.westtexascremation.com.

It was a pleasure to meet and know Bob over 20 years ago when he became my daughter's father in law. Then he and Ski became "PopPop" and "Mimi" to the grandchildren we shared, Alesha and Grace. We always enjoyed their visits. He was a very interesting man with lots of stories to tell. I know he will be missed.

So sorry for your loss. I enjoyed listening about his adventures and many accomplishments. I think I was always most fascinated by his falconry. I remember that he did a demonstration for my oldest daughter, Brittany when we joined the family for a weekly Sunday dinner. To the rest of the Lower family, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Bob's passing back into Spirit leaves a hole in my heart for which there is no repair, but rather sweet memories and smiles for comfort. May blessings be upon Bob, Ski and the family during this transition.

Bob worked with me in Maryland at Medieval Times. He was a calm and patient Falconer and very much a great teacher for new team members. He was willing to come and assist my newer falconers here in Dallas at my request. His gentle approach and calmness in working with others; I very much appreciated. He was a people person and loved to educate our guests about our beautiful birds.

I know he is high above us now watching over you, his family, and friends. Keeping us safe with an eagle’s eye view from Heaven.

I know he will be missed by many.
